Wire forming spring is a mechanical part that uses elasticity to work. It is usually made of spring steel. It is used to control the movement of machine parts, to mitigate impact or vibration, to store energy and to measure the magnitude of force. It is widely used in machines and instruments.
The spring is just an accumulator. It has the function of storing energy, but it can not release the energy slowly. To realize the function of releasing slowly, it should be realized by "Spring + large transmission ratio mechanism", which is common in the mechanical meter.
Spring is a kind of elastic element widely used in the mechanical and electronic industry. When the spring is loaded, it can produce large elastic deformation and transform the mechanical work or kinetic energy into deformation energy. After unloading, the deformation of the spring is disappearing and returned to the original shape. At the same time, the deformation energy is converted to mechanical work or kinetic energy.
The ratio between the load and the deformation of the spring is called the spring stiffness. The greater the stiffness, the harder the spring is.
The main functions of the spring
Control the movement of machinery, such as valve springs in internal combustion engines and control springs in clutches.
(2) absorb vibration and impact energy, such as buffer springs under cars and train carriages, vibration absorbing springs in couplings.
(3) storing and exporting energy as power, such as clock springs, springs in guns.
(4) used as force measuring elements, such as dynamometer and spring in spring scale.
Spring classification
According to the mechanical properties, springs can be divided into stretching springs, compression springs, torsion springs and bending springs.
According to the shape, it can be divided into spiral spring, disc spring, ring spring, wave spring, plate spring, cone scroll spring, spring spring (coil spring), torsion bar spring, ground spring, spring, heteromorphic spring, etc.
According to the production process, it can be divided into cold coil spring and hot coil spring (commonly used cold rolling method whose diameter is less than 8 mm in diameter), and hot coil method larger than 8 mm.
According to the material of elastic element, it can be divided into: metal spring, rubber spring, polyurethane spring, hydraulic spring, gas spring, hydrogen spring.
According to the shape of the spring wire cross section, it can be divided into: the circular section spring and the moment (square) section spring.
Metal spring manufacturing materials generally should have high elastic limit, fatigue limit, impact toughness and good heat treatment performance. And so on, commonly used are: carbon spring steel, alloy spring steel, stainless spring steel, non-ferrous metal alloy (copper alloy, nickel alloy).
